Pest and Disease
Citrus Pests and Diseases
A growers’ ability to protect his or her crop from pests and diseases is directly impacted by laws and regulations governing pesticide use. CCM regularly works with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure growers have access to important crop protection tools in order to protect their crops, satisfy export requirements, and deliver a quality piece of fruit to the consumer.
State and Federal Funding for Pest Prevention
The citrus industry receives millions of dollars each year in state and federal funding to prevent the spread of dangerous plant pests and disease such as Asian citrus psyllid and Huanglongbing.
CCM works hand-in-hand with our industry partners to advocate for this critical funding that supports the Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Division’s work to keep pests and diseases from spreading to commercial citrus groves.
