Volume 49, No. 22 – May 28, 2026

Disclaimer: The navel prices listed below are reported to CCM from various industry representatives each week. The lemon and grapefruit prices are pulled from USDA and reflect the spot market price. Both sets of data represent a range of prices that are then calculated into an average. Growers should consult their packing houses if they have specific questions about the price they are receiving for their fruit.

Navels

Navels are over 90% harvested. Movement remains strong and import pressure is limited for the time being. Noted quality issues are re-greening, soft fruit and decay, which is not entirely uncommon at this late stage of the season. These challenges and the gradual drop in utilization will likely continue through the end of the season.

Below are the week 21 pricing averages. Peak sizes were 56s and 72s followed by 48s and 88s. Utilization was around 70-80%.

Valencias

Valencias are around 10% harvested and starting to pick up traction on the domestic market. Re-greening has led to some reduced export volumes early on, but overall, we’ve heard of strong quality and limited external pest damage. The movement of smaller fruit has been a focus as large navels remain on the market for the time being. Below are the week 21 pricing averages. Utilization was around 80%.

Lemons

*Please note that these lemon prices are from the USDA and include other costs. The prices are used to evaluate trends. They do not reflect the returns growers receive but rather voluntary prices reported to the USDA.

As D1 lemon harvesting wraps up, we transition into the bulk of the D2 lemon season, which are around 40% harvested and are peaking around 115s, 95s, 140s, and 75s. Utilization has been around 70-80%. It is said that the fruit is coloring up well after some challenges with green fruit early on. Some early fruit drop has also been noted. Import pressure is limited for now, and it appears pricing is trending in a positive direction. Below are the week 21 pricing averages.
