UC ANR’s Lindcove Research and Extension Center in Exeter will host the VINE Connect Field Day on Friday, December 5, 2025. VINE Connect will feature six companies with solutions that address the challenges citrus and tree fruit growers face every day, showcasing their solutions through live demonstrations.
Demos will include:
- Spray drones navigating irregular and hard-to-reach blocks
- Soil sensor networks that promise to reduce water use by 30% in commercial orchards
- DNA-based pathogen detection delivering results in under an hour
- Autonomous tractors that can cut fuel consumption by 25-50%
- Irrigation automation built specifically for permanent crops
- Electrostatic citrus sprayers using up to 80% less water
