Approximately $390,000 remains available in grant funding through the Healthy Soils Program (HSP) Block Grant, which is administered in partnership with the California Citrus Quality Council, the California Farm Bureau, and the Xerces Society. These funds became available from previously awarded projects that did not fully utilize their grants.
This opportunity will support new projects that have not previously received HSP funding from CDFA or other agencies. Eligible practices are limited to one-time implementation within citrus groves, including:
- Filter strips
- Conservation cover
- Hedgerow plantings
- Mulching
