Volume 48, No. 38 – September 18, 2025
Disclaimer: The navel prices listed below are reported to CCM from various industry representatives each week. The lemon and grapefruit prices are pulled from USDA and reflect the spot market price. Both sets of data represent a range of prices that are then calculated into an average. Growers should consult their packing houses if they have specific questions about the price they are receiving for their fruit.

Valencias
Vals are over 70% harvested, moving well, and will continue into October. Although a late start to the season put the industry further behind schedule than usual, current momentum suggests a strong finish. We’re currently seeing positive market conditions, partly driven by a smaller supply of imports. Between tighter supply and a responsive market, we’re seeing prices continue to climb for small fruit. Peak sizes were 88s, followed by 113s and 72s. Utilization stands at 77%. Overall, it’s been a good crop with decent fruit appearance.

Lemons
The D2 lemon season should be winding down in the next couple of weeks. Supply has been slightly lower than last season, partly due to reduced import volumes. Despite the dip in supply, the crop has been well-sized, and prices have remained relatively steady.
Harvesting has begun on D3 lemons, and supply levels are expected to align similarly to last season. D1 lemon harvesting will begin shortly, and we expect D2 lemons to pick back up around early November.
*Please note that these lemon prices are from the USDA and include other costs. The prices are used to evaluate trends. They do not reflect the returns growers receive but rather voluntary prices reported to the USDA.
Please see our Lemon Import Report for more details on imports.
