Oriental Fruit Fly Quarantine Lifted in Riverside County

We are pleased to report that the Oriental Fruit Fly (OFF) Quarantine in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties was lifted on August 11, 2024. Of all the fruit fly quarantines in California, this one had the most citrus acreage within its boundary. Therefore, the removal is a massive relief for Riverside and San Bernardino Country citrus growers, who have been affected by the stringent regulations put in place to eradicate the pest for over a year. This quarantine removal follows several other fruit fly quarantines in California, which have been lifted in recent months.
