On July 23, the Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program (CPDPP) reported that an adult Asian Citrus Psylilid (ACP) collected from a residential property had tested positive for CLas – the bacteria that causes Huanglongbing (HLB) – in Hemet, Riverside County. An HLB quarantine zone will not be established due to the detection. However, CDFA staff are conducting surveys and collecting samples from the property and all host plants within a 250-meter radius of the positive find. To learn more from CPDPP, CLICK HERE.
