During the Legislative recess, Senator Caroline Menjivar (D) of the San Fernando Valley joined CCM, California Avocado Commission and California Strawberry Commission to tour the agricultural bounty of Ventura County. The Senator kicked off the day with a field tour of citrus and avocado grower John Lamb, followed by a strawberry field tour and a tour of Ventura Pacific’s Oxnard facilities. CCM appreciates the opportunity to educate legislators whenever possible and thanked the Senator for traveling and for her willingness to understand the issues facing agriculture today.
