Fisher Phillips Webinar: Preparation for California’s New Workplace Violence Protection Law

Due to the passage of SB 533, California employers will be required to implement a new Workplace Violence Protection Plan (WVPP) by July 1, 2024. The WVPP must be created and implemented, and training must be conducted by that date.

To assist employers with these changes, Fisher Phillips labor attorneys are hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. PDT. The cost to attend is $49 per person.

The webinar will cover the most pressing questions and concerns Fisher Phillips attorneys have encountered when advising employers on implementing the new WVPP, including:

  • Completion of a security assessment, including access control systems and procedures, physical security measures, and shelter-in-place rooms
  • Developing protocols for overseeing the development and implementation of the WVP Plan
  • Implementing measures to communicate with your workforce regarding the Plan and ensure employee compliance
  • Best practices for implementing the required training of employees on the WVPP
  • Multi-employer considerations
  • Practical tips for implementing the WVPP to comply with the new law and best protect employees

To help employers meet these new requirements, Fisher Phillips offers customized WVPP and training materials and security assessments and training.
