Updates to HLB Bulk Citrus Quarantine Requirements

On November 22, 2023, the Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Division (CPDPD) updated the requirements for moving bulk citrus fruit within and from an HLB quarantine zone to a packinghouse/processor.

 The updated requirements include:

  • Movement within a contiguous HLB quarantine: No mitigation required* (previously required: 1 mitigation)
  • Movement between non-contiguous HLB quarantines: 1 mitigation required (previously required: 2 mitigations or a wet wash)
  • Movement from an HLB quarantine but within the same county: 1 mitigation (previously required: 2 mitigations or a wet wash)

Note that 1 mitigation may be required dependent on origin and destination counties. More information on this provided at the link below.
