Oriental Fruit Fly Quarantine Established in Portions of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties

Following the detection of multiple Oriental fruit flies (OFF) in portions San Bernardino and Riverside counties the area has been placed under quarantine. This new quarantine covers 112 square miles around the city of Redlands where the detections occurred.

Other counties under quarantine for OFF include Contra Costa, Sacramento and Santa Clara. OFF poses a risk to California Agriculture as it targets over 230 different commodities, including citrus. Additional information on OFF and quarantine boundary information linked below.
