On October 14 California’s legislative year came to an end. Now California employers can start to prepare for new laws coming to the workplace in 2024. Of note for employers are the increase in paid sick leave from three days to five, which will take effect January 1, 2024, and the mandate that employers must now develop a workplace violence prevention program, which must be in place by July 1, 2024.
