Last Friday the CCM team hosted our 26th Annual Kick-Off Classic Golf Tournament at the Ridge Creek Golf Club in Dinuba, CA. This is the first year we have held the tournament in this location, and we received great feedback from players on the location and course.
The Kick-Off Classic is held each year to raise funds for the CCM Political Action Committee, which allows us to give the citrus industry an effective voice in State and Federal policy arenas.
This year we had 25 teams consisting of over 100 golfers join us from throughout the citrus industry and our allied partners. We are pleased with the tournament’s success and are already looking forward to next year. Participants seemed to enjoy the new course and a fun day spent with friends, colleagues and CCM staff.
First place in the tournament went to the Booth Ranches team of Aaron Miller, Adam Flowers, Izak DuToit and Gino Dibuduo. Second place went to the Schuil Ag Real Estate team consisting of Troy Sweeney, Doug Phillips, Dirk Schuil and Hayden Souza. The winners of our longest-drive contest were Matt Luis and Pati Gonzalez. Our raffle prize recipient was Troy Jackson, and the Nielsen Insurance team took first place in our funny photo contest.
