Congratulations to Our 2023 Scholarship Recipients

Each year California Citrus Mutual awards three scholarships to students pursuing an education or vocation in the agriculture industry. We would like to congratulate this year’s recipients and wish them the best of luck as they work to further their education in agriculture.

This year’s High School Scholarship was awarded to Nicolas Lemstra. Nicolas will be studying Agricultural Business at Dordt University in the Fall. After earning his degree, he hopes to get a job in production agriculture and then eventually help manage his family’s own farming operation.

Victoria Paolini is the recipient of the Harrison B. Smith Scholarship. Victoria is currently working towards a degree in Agricultural Communications and a minor in Spanish at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After completing her degree, she plans to attend law school and aspires to one day serve as an agricultural lawyer in either the state of California or on the federal level.

Maggie Gless is the winner of the Charles Coggins Scholarship. Maggie is currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture Communications and Communications from Texas A&M University. After college she plans to return home to work for her family’s business, Gless Ranch, in Bakersfield California.
