COVID-19 Recovery Grant Programs for Farmworkers and Businesses

Farm and Food Worker Grant Relief Program

The USDA Food and Farmworker Relief Grant is a one-time $600 payment for the those who worked on the frontlines during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Essential food and farmworkers who incurred expenses preparing for, preventing exposure to, and responding to the pandemic may be eligible for payment.

Grants are available to any frontline food and farmworker who is at least 13 years old and worked during the period of March 1, 2020 – May 11, 2023. Payments are being distributed through different organizations throughout California and the U.S. To find contact information and applications for your area click here.

California Supplemental Paid Sick Leave Grant Program

This grant program will award funds to eligible businesses and nonprofits that have incurred costs for COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave. Funds are limited and will be awarded based on eligibility and availability of funds. Learn more and apply here.
