Last week, California Legislators sent another card check bill (AB 113) to Governor Newsom’s desk following a deal struck in the last legislative session between the Governor and the United Farm Workers (UFW). AB 113 amends current card-check law (AB 2183) by eliminating the labor peace election alternative for mail-in balloting and would establish “card-check” as the exclusive process for unionization.
