The Citrus Research Board (CRB) announced the release of its Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2023-24 fiscal year. The RFP looks to address those areas of research deemed of highest importance within the California citrus industry. This year, these priorities focus on: mechanical harvesting technologies, maximizing fertigation and water use efficiencies, identifying new strategies for Asian citrus psyllid control, developing tools for suppression of endemic virial pathogens and effectively developing and evaluating citrus varieties with needed traits to support the California citrus industry. The deadline for new project pre-proposals submissions is March 1, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. PT.
