Thank you to everyone who joined us at CCM’s 45th Annual Meeting last week! After two years of not being able to host this event, it was wonderful to see everyone in person once again.
This year CCM celebrated its 45th year of service to the citrus industry. To celebrate this milestone, we wanted to honor the history of CCM at Annual Meeting and those who came together back in 1977 to create this organization of growers, for growers. We were pleased to be joined by some of CCM’s earliest supporters including Founding Directors Don Schroeder and John Kirkpatrick, fourth board Chairman Fred Lobue and CCM’s first employee Shirley Kirkpatrick. Without the efforts of these individuals and other early advocates the CCM we know today would certainly not be in existence.
Watch a video about the founding of CCM below.
We would like to give a special thank you to Matt Fisher for his dedicated service to the citrus industry the past four years as Chairman. At the same time, we welcome our new board Chairman Jared Plumlee and wish him the best of luck as he works to serve the interests of California citrus growers.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to outgoing board members Michael Cox, Pete Hronis, Dave Tomlinson and Adam Brown.
This event would not have been possible without the support of our generous sponsors.
