Each year California Citrus Mutual awards three scholarships to students pursuing an education or vocation in the agriculture industry. We would like to congratulate this year’s recipients and wish them the best of luck as they work to achieve their goals.
Maggie is the recipient of the High School Scholarship. She plans to attend Texas A&M University this fall as an Agribusiness major. After completing her degree, she plans to return home to Bakersfield and help her dad run their family company, Gless Ranch.
The Harrison B. Smith Scholarship was awarded to Nathen Botkins. Nathen recently committed to Cal Poly SLO as a Bioresource and Agricultural Engineering, BRAE, major. After attending Cal Poly, he plans to stay in California and help bring technological advancements to companies in the valley.
Caitlin is the winner of the Charles Coggins Scholarship. She is pursuing her undergraduate degree at Dordt University and then hopes to attend veterinary school at UC Davis.
