The Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) recently released an internet-based navigator tool that provides employers and employees key information and resources regarding the new COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (“COVID-19 SPSL”) law that went into effect on March 29, 2021, and is retroactive to January 1, 2021. The new internet-based tool allows workers and employers to check to see if they are eligible for COVID-19 SPSL by answering a few short questions online.
