URGENT: COMPLIANCE WTH NEW SHELTER-IN-PLACE ORDER

Essential workforce documentation recommended

The California Department of Public Health has announced a Limited State at Home Order (below) that goes into effect Saturday, November 21 and remain until December 21. This limited stay at home order will restrict non-essential work, movement and gatherings during the hours of 10 pm to 5 am in counties in the purple tier.

Work in the food and agriculture industry is determined to be essential. The California Department of Food and Agriculture recommends that agricultural employers provide documentation to all employees who may work between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am that affirms they are transiting to and from their essential workplace. In the event that an employee is stopped during transit to or from the workplace, this documentation will assure the employee and law enforcement that the employee is NOT in violation of the Order. This documentation was also recommended at the onset of the Pandemic during the original shelter-in-place order.

A template employee transit letter is available on the CCM website.
