The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has developed a continuing education (CE) correspondence course available for DPR license and certificate holders. This course may also be completed by private applicator certificate holders. Successful completion of the course will be credited 4 hours of “Laws and Regulations” CE hours.
DPR’s Pesticide Laws and Regulations CE course can be purchased by completing the information on the DPR Publication/Order form. The DPR Publication/Order form can be found at: <https://www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/dept/dpr003.pdf> (or if you don’t have access to a computer, you may call 916-603-7784, to request a hard copy of the order form be mailed to you.) Note that the form and payment must be mailed to DPR. DPR cannot accept any payments by phone, email or fax.
Either an electronic version of the course will be emailed or a hard copy will be mailed (depending on which version of the course is selected and paid for) to the license or certificate holder listed on the order form.
Note that the license or certificate holder designated to complete the course in the order form is the ONLY person that will receive CE hours if they successfully complete the course (including passing the final exam).
The license or certificate holder must complete a final exam that goes over the main points of the course with a score of 70 percent or greater to receive CE hours. DPR will send the exam to the contact information for the license or certificate holder designated in the order form. The exam must be completed and emailed (or mailed) back to DPR. After successfully passing the exam, DPR will email (or mail if requested) a certificate of completion.
Note that DPR would prefer to use email and send all documents electronically (as this will be fastest delivery method), but will mail documents to those that request hard copies.
