Charles Coggins Scholarship
The Charles Coggins Scholarship is awarded for the second year in a row to a student who is pursuing a career in agriculture/plant science and is a child of a CCM Member or member’s employee.
This year’s recipient is Fresno State student Aaron M. Black. Aaron is majoring in Plant Science – Crop Production Management and Agricultural Business. Upon graduation, Aaron plans to take the Pest Control Advisors Exam to further his plans of becoming a great PCA. While attending Fresno State, Aaron has participated in many agricultural clubs, and his extra-curricular activities are extensive.
Harrison B. Smith Scholarship
The Harrison B. Smith Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student who is pursuing a career in agriculture/plant science.
This year’s recipient is Kaleb Roberson from San Luis Obispo, California. Kaleb is studying Agricultural Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and would like to be a farm manager in the strawberry industry or become a full-time PCA. Kaleb currently works for the Cal Poly Strawberry Center, where he assists with research projects.
High School Scholarships
Our High School Scholarships are for seniors whose parents are employed by or are CCM members.
Maria Corona graduated from Exeter Union High School, where she was involved in FFA and Key Club. During her high school years, she worked picking oranges, as a cashier at Taco Bell, and as a tutor with the Exeter Union High School District. She will be attending the College of the Sequoias in the fall. Maria’s goal is to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Caleb Peltzer attended Exeter Union High School, where he was involved in student leadership, athletics, and the performing arts. He will attend College of the Sequoias in the fall. Caleb’s goal is to attend a UC and graduate with his Masters of Biochemistry and a degree as a High School Guidance Counselor.
