On July 17, 2020, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer announced 25 new trade advisors. Among them was California Citrus Mutual President & CEO Casey Creamer. There are six Agriculture Technical Advisory Committees (ATACS), Creamer will serve on the Fruits and Vegetables technical advisory committee.
Below is the following statement from Creamer:
“It has never been more crucial that the California citrus industry has a voice in D.C., specifically related to trade. International trade affects all citrus growers regardless of whether they sell domestically or to export markets. I’m appreciative of Secretary Perdue and Ambassador Lighthizer for the appointment and look forward to making sure the California citrus industry’s continued success is maintained and improved upon in all decisions moving forward at USDA and USTR.”
