Matt Fisher Elected CCM Board Chairman

Matt Fisher is the new Chairman of California Citrus Mutual. Matt resides in Bakersfield with his wife Julie and their four children. Matt is a fourth-generation citrus grower and is involved in all aspects of his family’s business, which consists of family-owned acreage as well as farm management acreage. His family also founded an agricultural propane company in 2004 and Matt oversees all of the financial and operational aspects of the company.

Matt sees several major challenges that the industry must address: ACP and HLB, sustainable labor force, and reliable water supply. In addition to this, the need for CCM to continue to be the voice of the grower is more important than ever.  Change is inevitable in business and CCM’s ability to navigate that change, while continuing to fight for the grower is of utmost importance.

Matt succeeds Curt Holmes who served the maximum of three years as Chairman.  The Board also appointed a new slate of officers for the upcoming year.  Brian Neufeld will continue service on the Executive Committee as Vice Chairman.  New to the Executive Committee is Zak Laffite who will serve as Vice Chairman and Keith Watkins who will serve as the Secretary/Treasurer.
