Today is a great day to submit your renewal applications to DPR if you want to avoid long processing times or a lapse in the valid period of your license or certificate. To renew, individuals with last names and business names starting with letters M-Z must meet the minimum requirements and submit their renewal application and payment to DPR on or before December 31, 2019. However, waiting until late-November or December to renew can be problematic.
Important reasons why you should submit your renewal application early (NOW):
- Current turnaround time is less than 2 weeks! This time will increase as we get later in the year. Processing time can take up to 8 weeks. Submit now to avoid longer processing times and get renewed earlier and quicker. Only 20% of renewals have been returned to DPR so far.
- Have time to resolve not having enough continuing education (CE) hours completed before your license/certificate expires and avoid re-testing.
- Have time to resolve any problems found by you or DPR before your license/certificate expires.
- Avoid a lapse in the valid period of your license/certificate on January 1 that will render you unable to perform pest control services legally.
- Avoid late fees.
The 2019 individual renewal applications are now available on our website. If you have not yet received your pre-printed application via US Mail, please use the link provided below to download a blank application and mail it to DPR:

Important deadlines to remember:
October 1, 2019 – Applications submitted to DPR by Oct. 1st will be renewed sooner. This will allow you to register in your county(ies) during the month of December. If you are the designated qualified person for a business that is renewing this year, the business license will also be able to renew and register sooner.
November 1, 2019 – Applications submitted to DPR by Nov. 1st will be renewed on or before January 1, 2020 thereby, avoiding a lapse in the valid period of your individual license or certificate.
