Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC)


Growers, if you have petroleum storage tank(s) at your location, you may be required to have a spill prevention control plan mandated by U.S.-EPA, beginning November 10, 2011. Facilities are subject to the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Rule if they have storage capacity of more than 1,320 gallons total in aboveground containers at a location. All petroleum storage, diesel, gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic oil, waste oil in tanks 55 gallons or larger are considered.
